Anthony Ginsberg was born in Cape Town, South Africa and studied at the University of Cape Town, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Science (Honors). His Honors thesis was subsequently published as a book, by both Butterworths and the New York Institute of Finance, titled “International Tax Havens”. A second edition was released in 1998 sponsored by Barclays Bank.

He qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in the US, after working for the Wall Street investment bank, Salomon Brothers (now Citibank).

Thereafter he served as Barclays Bank’s, Director for Offshore Services with Global Executive Committee responsibility for the Caribbean, Southern Africa, Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man.

Mr. Ginsberg is the Managing Director of GinsGlobal Index Funds, a leading index product design & asset management company dedicated to passive index fund investing and ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds). GinsGlobal has operations in 10 countries, including Canada, USA, UK, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Africa, Israel and Mauritius. Over $1bn of assets is currently managed using products and designs created by GinsGlobal.

The group has designed innovative index products for such leading financial institutions including AIG American General, HSBC Bank, ING Group, Zurich Financial Group, AEGON-Transamerica (Canada), Old Mutual, Barclays Bank and Scottish Life. The products include Indexed Universal Life, Indexed Annuities and Index Mutual Funds. GinsGlobal has listed ETF products on the London, Frankfurt and Milan Stock Exchanges. These include Cloud Computing, Healthcare Innovation and Innovative Technology ETFs.

Mr. Ginsberg is a frequent speaker and consultant on matters relating to offshore investing, global tax planning, index funds, construction of investment portfolios and retirement tax planning. He has appeared regularly on CNBC, Bloomberg and other TV/radio media outlets and writes regular investment columns for a variety of publications. He is a member of YPO (Young Presidents Organization) and currently serves as the Chairman of its Financial Services Network with over 2,200 global members. He is also a Board Member of the YPO Southland Gold and previously YPO Hollywood chapters.
